F.A.Q.
1. How are the eggs turned?
The egg turning grid is made of tropicalised galvanised metal, like a box in a square formation, with bars across to roll the eggs. The eggs are set in rows in the turning grid, with the bars set to as close as they can be without touching the eggs. A motorised turning system then turns the eggs automatically up to 90 degrees, 45 degrees either side of vertical.
2. Humidity - how is controlled?
- ME4A Humidity is created by filling the bottom of the incubator with water. Humidity levels are then controlled by placing plastic mats on the floor of the incubator, which reduces the humidity. Humidity varies from one area of the country to another, so it is hard to say exactly how to manage your humidity
with any certainty. Spot checking using a hygrometer is the only sure way of telling you have got it right. Increasing the humidity sheet coverage reduces humidity, reducing humidity sheet coverage increases humidity. *** For a limited

Control ME4XH: The ME4XH is fully automatic. Select the humidity by press the T/U button until the UR% led is lit, then adjust the required humidity using the +/- buttons. the computer will then achieve and maintain that humidity using a supplied Ultrasonic Humidifier. Note:
In areas of Very High humidity this control cannot reduce humidity, only increase it. This applies to very few areas in the world, let alone the UK. 3. How is temperature controlled? This incubator comes with a high precision thermometer. The thermometer is put into a hole in the incubator lid, the incubator switched
on and allowed to settle. Heating is indicated by a red led light on the top of the incubator. As the temperature is reached the red led will start to flash. This is normal and indicates the correct functioning of the electronic temperature control card. If the temperature needs increasing then a small knob on the top of the
incubator is turned a small amount to increase or decrease the temperature. Temperature Control ME4XH : Temperature control in the above incubators is true digital, not just a temperature read-out. You set the
temperature required...i.e. 37.7 degrees C and the incubator will then warm up to achieve and maintain that temperature. The computer also has integral temperature alarms. 4. What eggs can be incubated in the ME4 series? Any egg from
quail to goose sized egg can be incubated in the ME4 incubators
